Above is a picture of a 15amp fuse that were blown today and were replace with a replacement fuse costing RM1.00. What trigger this ? I not pretty sure, as I suspect something funny when I am driving today as my Blitz R-Vit is not working and my wing mirror won't function at all. It won't fold or the mirror cant be move using the side door control.
You may ask which one to change in all this fuse, I have similar problem this morning as I can't find the correct fuse based on my search in the Internet or my electrical and wiring guide. Hence by luck, I found the problem fuse which is the 15 amp fuse on the left row (4th from below including the empty slot)
If you are having similar problem with your cigarette socket or wing mirror not working. Just try to ply this fuse out and have a look. It is best to use a thin head plyer as the space is a bit cramp and your hand might not reach it properly.
Hi, I am quite new to car repair and recently bought a used ISIS 2008 Nov. I have problem with my gear shift from 1 to 2 which is jerky. I read from internet that i could try to reset my ECU. I could do this by taking out the ECU fuse. I understand from your post that the fuse box is below the driver dashboard. I wonder if you could guide me how to take out the dashboard and locate the right fuse ? Thanks for your help.
ReplyDeleteFuse box for ECU on the Isis is in the Engine Bay, just behind the headlight assembly. There are two fuse boxes the lower and bigger fuse box is what you need to look for.
DeleteCant really help you with the ECU fuse location. I will post some picture soon with location of the fuse box.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have an issue with comfort. The rear suspension feels hard. Is it normal for a torsion beam? Or is it because of a worn strut? Or bushings? Every time I went over the yellow lines (the ones approaching toll booths) especially the ones that are a bit thicker, the rear tires give out a thumping noise. But it is fine when going over humps. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Check your tire pressure, most probably that is the culprit.
ReplyDeleteA cheapo and aged tire will give discomfort too. Personally I feel the suspension is comfortable.
Can we meet? I'd like some one else to try my suspension. How do I contact you?
ReplyDeleteWe can setup a time to meet. No worries.

ReplyDeleteHey..I have an isis.it doesn't start.i guessed it was because of the engine check.it doesn't show.i brought a few techs.they said it might be computer box.i bought another but same things happens.all the other indicators on the clock are showing except the engine check.i have also checked the fuses.they are all okay...any help??
ReplyDeleteNormally for non start, typical diagnose will check whether your car got power (electric) or fuel. Check battery, wiring first. Then check your fuel pump or injector. Next check for spark from your plug or cable.
ReplyDeleteIf all is alright, then check the starter motor, give it a few big knock and hear whether got sound when starting. If all fails, you just need to send to mechanic. Good luck.

Maybe a blown main fuse. We have an 07 Isis Platana 1.8 Model and there are two fuse boxes inside the engine bay just behind the headlight assembly. Check each. Check this link https://toyota.epc-data.com/isis/anm10w/31312/engine/8401/84730S/
